Egg Donors Program
For IVF and Surrogacy
In most IVF cases within our programs, an egg donor is needed. Donors play a key role in the success of the program. They are young, healthy women aged 18 to 30 who donate their eggs voluntarily and without pressure.
Donor Selection Criteria
We match donors based on your preferences, prioritizing:
- Age and physical characteristics
- Overall health (physical & mental)
- Educational background and personal profile
Medical tests and screening
After confirmation from our doctor, we perform the following tests:
Blood type and Rh factor
Clinical blood count
HIV antigen/antibody combination
Hepatitis B surface antigen
Hepatitis C antibodies
Syphilis (RPR)
Vaginal flora smear
Cytological study
PCR for ureaplasma, mollicutes and chlamydia
Cardiogram
Consultation with a doctor/therapist
COVID-19 Test
Coagulation study
Egg retrieval procedure
The retrieval takes between 10 and 20 minutes under anesthesia. Afterwards, the donor remains in the clinic for 2 to 4 hours before being discharged.
Donor eligibility
Not everyone can become a donor. Candidates must complete the above tests and be approved by our reproductive specialist. The first step is an ultrasound on day 2–3 of the menstrual cycle to check the ovarian follicle count.
Hormonal stimulation and follow-up
When the donor is selected and the couple is ready to begin, we start hormonal stimulation under the supervision of our reproductive specialist. Stimulation begins on day 2 of the donor’s cycle. The procedure lasts approximately 10 to 14 days. During this time, the donor undergoes ultrasounds and progesterone and estradiol tests so the doctor can monitor the response and set the retrieval date. Before the puncture, the necessary tests are repeated.
